City of Roses...

Molde Fjordstuer is located on the waterfront in town Reknes in Molde. Molde evolved as a settlement in the 1500s. Export of wood loads primarily to the Netherlands created urban development. The origin of the name is Storgården Molde (today Moldegård), meaning "good soil". The city that received city status in 1742 today has approx. 30,000 inhabitants.

Over the years, the city has been the city of administration for the whole region, formerly Romsdal County, today the county of Møre og Romsdal. Molde has through different ages had different important industries like; maritime industry (5 engine plants at the most), many manufacturing factories and major tourist traffic.

The city is known as the City of Roses, Moldepanoramaet, Molde International jazz festival, important literature festival, Bjørnsonfestivalen, and Molde Fotballklubb. The Romsdal Museum is one of the country's most important regional museums.
