The Lofoten Aquarium
Explore ocean life and visit the Skrei and other fish and animals from the waters around Lofoten. The aquarium features exhibitions, a display center for aquaculture, films, a souvenir shop and a café with an excellent view. One of the highlights is the feeding of the seals and otters.
When you visit the Lofotakvari in Nyvågar you will go straight down into an exciting underwater world and join the sea bottom in Lofoten. Here you will visit the screams and the king crab, the otter that will not swim, the seagulls and a tremendous life of fish, shellfish, coral and everything else that lives in the ocean. Here you can learn about everything that lives in the ocean and the vulnerable marine ecosystem and you'll be watching when we feed the animals.
The Lofoten Aquarium is suitable for children and families.
The lofts can be visited by purchasing single tickets or by purchasing the big ticket, which gives access to Galleria Espolin and the Lofot Museum as well. The aquarium is located right next to the main building on Nyvågar, and it is only 30 seconds walk to get there.
The gallery is part of the history movement in Storvågan.
